About us?

Géniop, founded in March 2001 by Jean-Marc Ribault, was created from an idea: the marriage of Internet technologies and computer-assisted manufacturing in order to provide industrialists with highly innovative solutions.

Géniop was created from an idea

Today, production machines communicate with data applications in a seamless manner without upsetting the production process. To implement these solutions a dual competence is required: the ability to develop Internet software and to handle industrial communications standards.

Géniop creates and develops products and systems that are connected and interface in a seamless manner with your industrial equipment, without modifying or upsetting operations.

Although Géniop works essentially with industrial companies (in the automobile, pharmaceutical, and food industries…) its know-how concerns the logistics, packaging and distribution sectors that also have needs in terms of monitoring production, remote maintenance, etc.

Support from numerous regional and national partners

Since it was created, Géniop has received support from numerous partners in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region and nationally. The AVNAR (a national agency for the promotion of research), Lille Métropole Initiative (an organisation in the Lille chamber of commerce) and Nord-Entreprendre (a private foundation) have all contributed financial support for the creation and development of Géniop

Research and Development...

Géniop was awarded first prize for innovative technology start-ups by the French Ministry of Research in 2001.

Our company devotes a large part of its activity to Research and Development projects and the technology sector. We concentrate on connectivity solutions for automatisms, adapting database applications for storage of industrial data and real time distributed network applications

Since January 2002 Géniop has been a Microsoft Certified Partner and benefits from marketing, sales and technical support provided by Microsoft.

Géniop is an active member of the OPC Foundation (Ole for Process Control), a foundation that manages the OPC standard, which is a reference in industrial communications.
